The record in this case shows that Cornelius K. Garrison and Alice Lyle were married in the city of St. Louis, and that there was afterwards born unto them a son, Lyle Garrison; that in 1882, while Garrison and his wife were living in St. Louis, the latter *562departed this life, leaving surviving her, no child except her said infant son, who was then two or three years old. She left some personal property, consisting of stock in the Collier White-lead Company, of the value of five thousand dollars. Her husband, the said Cornelius K.
