Contrary to his pleas, appellant was convicted by a special court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members of one specification of wrongful use of cocaine in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice [hereinafter UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. § 912a. The convening authority approved the sentence of a bad-conduct discharge and reduction to Private El.
