Petitioners seek the invalidation of the Board of Education’s amended rule, OAR 581-11-072, placing the textbook Get Oregonized on the list of approved texts for the state’s public elementary schools. The essence of petitioners’ objections to the book is that, in their view, it teaches that nature and the environment exist to be exploited by human beings.
