The defendant in this case was charged in a two part information with burglary in the third degree in violation of General Statutes § SSa-lOS1 and with being a persistent serious felony offender in violation of General Statutes § 53a-40 (b).2 After a trial by a jury, *281the defendant was found guilty of the first count. He then pleaded guilty to the second part of the information.
