MARING, Justice.

[¶ 1] Robert D. Giese appealed from orders of the district court holding him in contempt and awarding his former spouse, Eva Giese, damages for Robert’s intentional failure to comply with the provisions of the parties’ divorce decree dividing Robert’s retirement benefits. We hold the district court did not abuse its discretion in finding Robert Giese in contempt and did not err in awarding damages, including costs and attorney fees, to Eva Giese.
