Following a bench trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendants Hernandez Bailey and Darryl Moten were convicted of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 9 — 1(a)(1)) and two counts of attempted murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 8 — 4(a)). The trial judge sentenced Bailey to life imprisonment on the murder conviction and concurrent 10-year prison terms on the two counts of attempted murder, and Moten to 35 years on the murder conviction and concurrent six-year prison terms on the two counts of attempted murder.
