In 1932, Alma LePitre began an action in the superior court of Cook county to recover damages for personal injuries received when the automobile in which she was riding crashed into a concrete structure on Leif Eriksen drive in Chicago. The drive, also known as the “Outer Drive,” was at the time of the accident under, the governmental jurisdiction of the South Park Commissioners.
