This action was brought to foreclose a mortgage made by Peter Voorhees and Mary A. Voorhees, his wife, and they are named as defendants together with certain other persons who, it was alleged in the complaint, *318claimed some interest in the property covered by the mortgage. From the decree rendered in the action the plaintiff and the defendant Peter Voorhees have each prosecuted an appeal to this court.
