The petition in bankruptcy herein was filed against the firm of J. M. Mertens & Co. and the individuals composing such firm or copartnership on the 18th day of August, 1903, and Albert K. Hiscock was duly appointed receiver of the estate, etc., of •the'alleged bankrupts.
