This action at law was instituted by plaintiffs, Ben Zaker and Agnes R. Zaker, against defendants, John Lapa and Estelle Lapa, under section 205 (e) of the Emergency Price Control Act of 1942, as amended and also under said section of that Act as it was amended by section 108 (b) of the Stabilization Extension Act of 1944, to recover damages because of alleged over-ceiling rent charges claimed to have been made by defendants as landlords and received by them from plaintiffs as their tenants.
