The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 spawned one of the largest and most complex mass tort litigations in history. The final stage involves the claims of over 1,000 individuals who worked in the buildings surrounding the World Trade Center site and allegedly developed various respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses as a result of their work. 78 of the plaintiffs represented by the law firm Worby Groner Edelman & Napoli Bern LLP (“WGENB”) have agreed to settle their claims against most,1 but not…
