On December 12, 1964,, about 3:00 P. M., while a Virginia Transit Company bus operated by Paul Gamble was proceeding eastwardly along St. Julian Avenue and across Tidewater Drive, in the city of Norfolk, it was struck by an automobile driven by James P. Haley southwardly along Tidewater Drive. As the result of the collision Haley and two passengers in his car, including Florida C. Hill, aged sixteen, were killed.
