The Circuit Judge issued an alternative writ of mandamus’ commanding the City Board of Commissioners to call a special election of the qualified voters of the City of Pensacola, at which the following proposition shall be submitted: “Shall the City of Pensacola abandon its organization under the provisions of law providing a commission form of government and assume its former aldermanic form of government;” and to take all necessary steps for the holding of an election in accordance with law, or to show cause for not doing so.
