This is an appeal entered upon the verdict of the jury awarding ap-pellee $6,750 damages in compensation for personal injuries alleged to have been received by him while in the performance of his duties as switchman for appellant at Ray yards, in Denison, Tex. Appellee, in substance, charged that it was his duty as a switchman to ride cars and “strings” of cars over the tracks of appellant, and that while so engaged he received the injuries alleged, and that same were due to the negligence of the appellant’s engineer in suddenly and with unusual violence stopping the train of cars which…
