This proceeding involves the custody of Kathleen Kosh, a girl child of the age of 2 years. Her father, Russell Kosh, and her mother, Jacqueline, are husband and wife, and at the time of initiation of the proceedings with which we are concerned resided in Chicago. They separated on July 16, 1950, and have since lived separate and apart. On July 19th of that year Jacqueline commenced an action in the Superior Court of Cook County, Illinois, against Russell, wherein she sought a decree of separate maintenance.
