Plaintiff Dawn Geraty, a police officer in the Village of Antioch (“the Village”), brought a single-count complaint under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., alleging that the Village discriminated against her on the basis of her sex by failing to promote her to the position of police sergeant and by failing to transfer her to the position of detective.
