PRYOR, Associate Judge:

Over the objection of appellant, the natural father of two children, the trial court granted a petition for the children’s adoption by the stepfather. Appellant appeals, asserting that (1) the “best interests of the child” standard of D.C. Code 1973, § 16-304(e) is substantively and procedurally unconstitutional as applied to a natural parent; and that (2) the trial court erred in concluding there was clear and convincing evidence in the record to reach a conclusion that adoption by appellee is in the best interests of the children.
