The bill states, in substance, that about the year -, the complainant, for a full, valuable, and adequate consideration, purchased of George Payne, of Virginia, a grant, calling for land in this State, who said he had got it from the defendant for a valuable consideration ; that the land had been sold by the sheriff for taxes, and purchased by the defendant; that no conveyance was made, but that the defendant would make a title as soon as he could get one from the sheriff.
