John J. Blodgett seeks reversal of his convictions of murder in the first degree, armed robbery, kidnapping, assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. Blodgett claims that he is entitled to a new trial because the trial judge erred in entering an order precluding him from presenting alibi witnesses during a part of the trial. We affirm Blodgett’s convictions. We decline to exercise our power under G. L. c. 278, § 33E, to enter a verdict of a lesser degree of guilt on the charge of murder.
