From 2008 to 2016, Plaintiff Tiffany Washington was a sergeant in the Metro Transit Police Department (the "MTPD"), a component of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority ("WMATA"), which operates the public transit system commonly known as the Metro. She worked at the MTPD's Revenue Collection Facility in Alexandria, Virginia, which processes fares gathered from Metro stations.
