Plaintiff recovered a verdict for $200 for personal injuries, sustained by falling into a sewer •excavation while' he was crossing an alley in the city of Springfield. The defendant appeals, and first assigns for error that oral evidence is incompetent to prove the existence of a street or alley. This was not so held in the case cited in support of this position. Henry v. Railroad, 44 Mo. App. 100.
