STUART, Justice.

In November 2003, upon pleading guilty to robbery in the first degree, Nickolas L. Dean was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment. That sentence was split, and Dean was ordered to serve five years’ incarceration, followed by three years of supervised probation. In 2008, while Dean was serving the probationary portion of his sentence, his probation officer filed a delinquency report charging that Dean had violated various terms of his probation, including failing to report to the probation officer.
