MONROE, Judge.
The plaintiff appeals from a summary judgment entered in an action against her former employer alleging retaliatory discharge.
On August 30, 1994, Ainslie Morell sued Tennessee Valley Press, Inc.,' seeking workers’ compensation benefits she claimed she was owed for injuries that she alleged were the result of an on-the-job accident. On March 23, 1995, Morell amended her complaint, alleging that Tennessee Valley had terminated her for filing a workers’ compensation claim and thereby had violated § 25-5-11.1, Ala.Code 1975.
