This was an action of assumpsit for the support of Betsey Perkins, a pauper, daughter of Joseph Perkins, with whom it appeared that she lived and had her home in Harlem, now China, on the 21st day of March 1821, she not being then emancipated from her parents. At the trial before Weston J. in October term 1825, it was proved that notice was given from the overseers of Windsor to the overseers of China, on the 20th day of October 1823, at ten of the clock in the forenoon, and that an answer was received by the overseers of Windsor on the 20th day of December 1823, just before sunset.
