The petitioner, Troy Harris, appeals from the dismissal of his second postconviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus, in which he has challenged his conviction of attempt to commit murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49 and 53a-54a, and assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (5) on the ground of ineffective assistance of counsel.
