Plaintiff brought this action to recover for his personal injuries and property damage sustained in an automobile accident. Named as defendants were the driver of the other car, Mitchell Walker, his employer, Louisiana Citrus Lands, Inc., and its insurer, The American Insurance Company. A petition of intervention was filed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, the compensation carrier of plaintiff’s employer, Freeport Sulphur Company, for the medical payments and compensation benefits paid under its contract of insurance.
