Statement of the Case

Following a preliminary hearing, defendants Brad Nokes and Mary Nokes were charged with committing, by use of force or threat of great bodily harm, 133 counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under age 14 (Pen. Code, § 288, subd. (b)). All of the acts allegedly occurred between April 1, 1984, and June 26, 1984.
