The Gulf Refining Company, plaintiff, sued the defendant to recover on a book account for gasoline and oil alleged to have been sold by plaintiff to defendant. On August 27, 1933, the automobile of defendant, who is a resident of Lancaster County, was stolen in Philadelphia. The defendant had kept his charge-a-plate or credit token issued by the plaintiff to him in his stolen automobile.
