On July 16, 2001, plaintiffs World Trade Center Properties, LLC and affiliated companies (collectively “WTCP”) purchased 99-year leases to four World Trade Center buildings, Towers One, Two, Four, and Five, from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Inc., the owner of the properties.
