This matter is before the Court on William A. Darden’s petition for a writ of habeas corpus. For the reasons discussed below, the petition will be denied.
I. BACKGROUND
On December 5, 1991, in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, petitioner was sentenced to an aggregate term of 18 years’ incarceration on his conviction of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during a crime of violence.
