HAMILTON, Judge.

Movant, Jerry Lynn Jones, appeals the denial of his Rule 29.15 motion without an evidentiary hearing. We affirm in part, reverse in part, and remand for an eviden-tiary hearing.

On December 7, 1982, the grand jury charged Movant in Cause Number 482900 with two counts of kidnapping, and one count each of forcible rape, sodomy, and armed criminal action. On February 25, 1983, the trial court severed one count of kidnapping and the count of armed criminal action from the other three counts.
