The plaintiffs brought this action in assumpsit to recover the amount alleged to be due under a written contract providing for insertion of an advertisement in their weekly periodical known as “Playbill.” Attached to the statement of claim was a copy of the written contract in the form of a printed order to carry defendant’s advertisement for 52 weekly issues at f6.00 per issue. It is very brief, containing less than twenty lines and includes the following clause: “Oral agreements will not be recognized.”
