The appellee, Kitturah Bryan, filed this bill in the superior court of chancery, to recover a tract of land on the Mississippi river, containing two hundred and forty acres, on part of which the town of Grand Gulf is now situated. She claims title, as the sole heir of Gideon Matlock, deceased.
