The plaintiff, Helena Marsh Goodwin, was engaged in the business of renting furnished apartments for profit. Plaintiff was the lessee of apartment 506 of 370 Central Park West at a rental of $150 a month, and had furnished that apartment for occupancy by an undertenant.
