11 These consolidated writ applications involve Plaintiffs’ claims for property damage to their home following Hurricane Ka*1223trina and damages and penalties against their homeowner’s insurer pursuant to La. R.S. 22:658 and La. R.S. 22:122o.1 We granted the writ applications to review the correctness of the rulings of the lower courts and the correctness of the jury’s verdict. After review of the record and applicable law, we find the trial court’s Jury Instructions and Jury Interrogatories contained legal errors, resulting in the inability of the jury to reach a proper verdict.…
