On the 4th day of April, 1930, a petition entitled James Ellis et al. v. Citizens Bank of Carlisle et al. was filed in the district court of Iowa in and for Warren County, praying the appointment of a receiver for the Citizens Bank of Carlisle, on the allegation that the Citizens Bank of Carlisle was involved in financial difficulties and unable to continue business as a private bank. On the 29th day of April, 1930, G. D. Schooler was appointed by the court as receiver of said bank, to liquidate its affairs.
