¶ 1. This appeal arises from the Panola County Circuit Court’s denial of Marion Strickland’s petition for a writ of habeas corpus, seeking a reduction in bail originally set by the Panola County Justice Court. At the time that he filed his petition, Strickland was imprisoned in the Panola County jail under the supervision and control of Dennis Darby, Sheriff of Panola County, Mississippi.
