In this case the defendant was tried in the Criminal Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County on an indictment charging him with the unlawful possession of narcotic drugs. He pleaded not guilty and after a bench trial was convicted and sentenced to the Illinois State Penitentiary for a minimum period of two years and a maximum of three years. Prom that judgment this appeal is taken.
