|, The defendant, United Medical Staffing, Inc. (UMS), appeals from a judgment of the trial court making executory an assessment and lien filed against it by the plaintiff, the State of Louisiana, Department of Labor, Office of Regulatory Services (hereinafter referred to as the “Department” or the “state”). After the judgment was made executory, UMS filed a motion for a new trial, which the trial court set for hearing.
