EDWARD WEINFELD, District Judge.

This action arises out of a series of contracts granting Candid Productions, Inc. (“Candid”) the exclusive North American television rights for certain amateur ice skating championships sponsored by the International Skating Union (“ISU”). Candid, the plaintiff, is engaged in the business of purchasing television rights to sporting events, principally skating events and produces programs of such events for sale to television companies all over the world.
