The only testimony as to the employment of Dr. Sloane was the doctor’s own testimony, which was substantially as follows:
“I was telephoned to by some one on the Pacific Coast Steamship Company’s wharf, telling me there was a man from Hawk Inlet injured, and that I was wanted to go get him and take him to the , hospital. I met the boat, and Mr. Spaulding told me they had a man injured, and wished me to take him to the hospital and take care of him.
