This action was brought to determine the corporate status of Porter Academy, a military school for secondary education at Charleston, South Carolina, and to ascertain its general powers, particularly the right of the corporate authorities of said school to mortgage or sell the real estate upon which it is located in the City of Charleston, consisting of a square bounded by Ashley Avenue, Bee, President and Doughty Streets.
