Defendant Travis Santel Murphy was charged in an indictment with murder (Count 1); felony murder (Counts 2 and 3); aggravated assault (Count 4); armed robbery (Count 5); and theft by taking (motor vehicle) (Count 6). The jury found him guilty of two counts of voluntary manslaughter as lesser offenses included within the indicted charges of murder and felony murder and also found him guilty of one count of aggravated assault, arising from the same incident in which the victim, Willie Harrison III, was shot and killed by a shotgun blast at close range.
