This case comes up from the circuit court of the district of Ohio, upon a writ of error. It is an action of debt upon a single bill or obligation executed by the plaintiff'in' error and several others, bearing date the 20th of February 1826, for the payment of 2100 dollars, sixty days after date. The declaration is in the usual form. The defendant pleaded the general issue, and five' special pleas.
