The prisoner was charged in the indictment under which he was arraigned and to which he pleaded not guilty, with the felonious killing of Guiseppe Visalli, and was convicted of murder in the first degree. Strange as it may seem, for anything appearing in this record, Guiseppe Visalli may still be in full life and being. That a felonious killing of some one had occurred was placed beyond question by the evidence. The body of a slain man had been discovered at an early hour on Monday, the twenty-second day of July, 1912, at a point nearly midway between the borough…
