The appellant, Edgar Eugene Harness, Jr., was convicted of the offense of unlaw ful possession of dangerous drugs and his punishment was fixed by a jury at confinement in the penitentiary for a period of five years and a fine in the amount of $5,000.00. KRS 217.731 and KRS 217.995.
