Advanced Patient Care, LLC (APC), brought this action against Partners HealthCare System, Inc. (Partners), after a business relationship between them failed. Among other claims, APC asserted breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, defamation, commercial disparagement, and violation of G. L. c. 93A.
