|, While at work, plaintiff, William Wesley Carnes, was physically beaten by a coworker. Plaintiff filed a petition for damages against the co-worker, Caleb Wilson, and their employer, Select Energy Services, L.L.C., d/b/a Pen Rob Well Services (“Select Energy”). Select Energy filed a motion for summary judgment claiming that workers’ compensation was the exclusive remedy for Carnes’s injuries; Carnes filed a cross-motion for summary judgment on June 25, 2012.
