delivered the opinion of the court:

Plaintiff, Aurel Dari, commenced this action to recover damages for personal injuries allegedly sustained by him in a two-car accident. The other vehicle involved in the collision was driven by an employee of defendant, Uniroyal, Inc., while the employee was in the course of his employment. The two-count complaint alleged negligence and wilful and wanton conduct on the part of defendant in its maintenance, operation, and control of its automobile.
