| {¿Defendant, Michael Coe, appeals from his conviction for second degree murder. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.

On May 1, 2008, a Jefferson Parish Grand Jury indicted defendant and co-defendant, Cheri Hayden, for second degree murder in violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1. Defendant pled not guilty and filed several pre-trial motions, including a motion to sever the defendants for trial that was denied. He proceeded to trial on July 13, 2009.
